SO . . . HOW DID LIGHT OF MINE CO. COME TO BE?
Have you ever felt that something about your look was just “off?” You couldn’t put your finger on it, but you just continually felt bothered or less than happy with your look. Or maybe you’ve had something happen in your life that has caused you to question, “Do I even know what my style actually IS anymore?”
Trust me, I’ve been there.
For me, in my motherhood journey, I realized I’d lost my sense of style a bit and I also found myself needing to dress a body that had changed. I spent a lot of time (and also money) attempting to update my wardrobe and despite my efforts, something was still off. I found myself not reaching for a lot of my closet.
Enter color analysis. I saw the videos all over social media. Of course, I brushed them off as likely nonsense or a fad that would pass. However, my curiosity got the better of me so I used my ADHD hyperfocusing superpower for good and did a deep dive into research. Turns out? Not nonsense. Not a fad. SCIENCE. It was actual science. (The science of color theory, to be exact!)
This discovery led me to wonder… Could it actually be possible that color was what was throwing me off the whole time? Naturally, I wanted to experience color analysis for myself.
Also naturally, being the frugal lady I am, I wanted to do this without spending any money. To the interwebs, AI options, and filter options I went. While I wasn’t surprised in the slightest, I was disappointed to receive a different result every.single.time.
Enter in-person color analysis. I drove almost 3.5 hours away to have my personal draping done, and when I say my flabbers were gasted, they were! I had NO idea that color had that much power. None. Armed with this knowledge about which colors actually suited ME, shopping became fun for the first time in forever. Makeup? Easier. Putting together outfits? Almost effortless, since all my pieces “play nice together.” And the best part? If anything bothered me, I now knew what to do about it.
No disrespect to Algebra or Calculus, but I haven’t used either of them since high school or college. I have, however, used the science of color theory every single day since having my own analysis done.
Not to be dramatic, but color analysis changed my life. It pained me that we didn’t have access to this in our area because I truly believe this is information EVERYONE should have. With that goal in mind, I decided to pursue my education through the International Image Institute so I could help empower others. I even traveled all the way to Toronto, Canada for my Mastery certification so you can take advantage of my training.
