FAQ'S

Do you offer virtual color analysis sessions?

At this time, I do not offer virtual color analysis, which is the process of “digitally draping” a client. My reason for this is that I truly believe in-person analysis to be the gold standard in our industry. I have witnessed firsthand the power of seeing how your physical features react with color in person in real time. Unfortunately, it is incredibly difficult for virtual color analysis to give you the experience at the same level. Additionally, because I deeply want to protect the integrity of your color analysis, I would rather have the burden of handling the different variables fall on me, whereas the quality of your photo submission, lighting, and many other factors could negatively impact your results.

I have received my qualifications and Mastery training and certifications from the International Image Institute in Toronto, Canada. My work includes utilizing 16 and 23 palette seasonal color analysis systems that allow us to refine your results rather than placing you in broad brushstroke seasonal categories as it used to be done when color analysis first began. We seek to utilize the three dimensions of color – undertone, value, and intensity – to determine your best color palette.

The 23 Palette Color Analysis System includes the traditional home seasons of True Winter, True Spring, True Summer, True Autumn, the flow palettes of True Cool, True Warm, True Deep, True Light, True Bright, True Muted, Cool Winter, Cool Summer, Warm Spring, Warm Autumn, Deep Winter, Deep Autumn, Light Summer, Light Spring, Bright Winter, Bright Spring, Muted Summer, Muted Autumn, and the Universal palette, which was developed for people who are true neutral in undertone.

All Light of Mine Co. sessions are currently held in my home studio located in the Lynchburg, Virginia area. Exact location is provided after booking is confirmed.

Please note: there are pets present on the premises, but they are not allowed in the studio. Please let us know if additional precautions need to be taken. There is a strict no smoking policy at Light of Mine Co.

No, filming and photography is absolutely not required. Many people really enjoy the process, though, and appreciate having “footage” to enjoy after their session is complete. A photo and media consent form is part of our booking process and you have the right to accept or decline. If you choose to decline, please rest assured that nothing will change about the service you receive. Most people do want to have photos of them in their favorite colors, so even if you choose not to accept our consent form, you still will have the opportunity to have those photos taken and sent directly to you for use as a resource.

I try to be as flexible as I can while maintaining balance with respect to my family and other commitments, so in some cases, this may be possible. Availability to do this is limited and any request that falls outside of what is published on my booking calendar is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to contact me if you are having difficulty finding an appointment time that works for you and I will do my best to see if we can find a mutually beneficial time.
